Perryton ISD staff took a break on Tuesday, October 9 for Staff Development and Staff Appreciation. Staff members were separated into Elementary and Secondary groups to continue their training on Kagan Cooperative Learning Method, a teaching strategy that focuses on student engagement. Throughout the district, teachers have been adding the Kagen strategies to their lesson plans. This training helps inspire them to take this to the next level.
Lunchtime was an opportunity for PISD administrators to show their appreciation to the staff. With help from Seaboard Foods, and Baby Butts BBQ, the administrators served the staff barbecue pork and all the fixings. The cafeteria staffs at Perryton Junior High and Williams Intermediate also helped prepare the meal. This was an opportunity for our administrators to recognize the hard work of our staff with all of the added techniques along with COVID concerns and its toll on educators.
