Ranger Roundup Gets $74,529 Grant!

Posted Date: 09/14/2021

The Ranger Roundup Learning Center has received a significant grant amount from the Texas Workforce Commission.  This week, RRLC Director Monica Rodriguez received a check for $74,529 from the TWC through the Child Care Development Block Grant.

The funds are part of the Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act, 2021.  The money can be used for expenses necessary to maintain or resume the operation of child care programs, including for fixed costs and increased operating expenses.

The Ranger Roundup is operated by Perryton ISD and Superintendent James Mireles says, “This will go a long way to help offset our operating losses for the last year. Our enrollment has grown as well and that is also helping us close that gap”
