Judice and Waide Chosen As Rotary Students of the Month

Perryton High School Seniors Yancey Judice and Cuyler Waide are the October 2020 Perryton Rotary Club Students of the Month.  The two outstanding students were honored at the Thursday meeting of the Rotary Club.  Club Student of the Month Coordinator Dimitri Garcia shared these students’ activities and accomplishments with the members of the club.

Yancey is the daughter of Brent and Kelly Judice and has two sisters, Hayley and Rio. She is involved in volleyball, basketball, cheer, National Honor Society, and Student Council. Her favorite subjects in school are algebra and anatomy.

When asked to name a most influential teacher or coach, Judice said, “Throughout high school, I have had many different coaches, which makes it difficult to pick just one.  They have all made a big impact on my life.” Yancey plans to become a nurse anesthetist and work as a traveling nurse anesthetist.  She also has a desire to start her own special ed. Program.

Cuyler is the son of Steven and Paige Waide and has two older brothers, Ellis and John.  He plays on the golf team and is active in the FFA program.  He says history is his favorite subject because “I’ve got a great teacher (Coach Hodge) who is very passionate in what he teaches.”

He lists Ag Teacher JoBonney LeCompte as his most influential teacher. Cuyler says, “He connects with his students and is committed to his students’ well-being inside and out of the classroom.”

Waide plans to attend Oklahoma State University in the fall and the return to Ochiltree County to pursue a career in farming.

Congratulations to these well-deserving students who are solid representatives of Perryton High School and the Class of 21.
