erryton ISD continues to get recognition from the Texas Education Agency.  First, it was the “A” Rating for the district.  Now, the district has been honored by the Region 16 service center for "Best Practices" for our Ranger Camp after-school program. Superintendent James Mireles and Assistant Superintendent Dr. Maria Gomez-Rocque received the award at the Region 16 Kick-Off event. Presenting the award was Director of Instructional Support Brandi Parker.   A video presentation highlighted the success of the program. Congratulations to all of those involved in the “Ranger Camp” event last spring.  At-risk students stayed after school for more intimate and fun learning opportunities.  Ranger Camp was funded through a federal grant.  PISD was one of three districts to take advantage of the funding opportunity and was honored by the service center for this special program.

PISD is currently making plans for the second year of Ranger Camp coming up this school year.
